App Does Not Launch After Update
Some updates may not be compatible with previous versions, preventing the application from launching. In that case, please try the following methods.
・Erase storage (Settings > Apps > Voicela En > Storage > Clear data) or uninstall the application and install it again.
*Both methods will erase previously saved alarm settings. Please set them up again.
Alarm Screen Does Not Appear
Please test the alarm on the “Check & Overwrite Settings” page.
If the notification bar appears while the alarm is playing, please continue using the app in the background without fully closing it.
If the notification bar does not appear, the alarm screen will not be displayed. Please make sure notification permissions are enabled:
Settings > Apps > Voicela En > Permissions > Notifications
Additionally, on some devices, a delay in notification delivery may prevent the alarm screen from appearing. In that case, please uninstall and reinstall the app, then try the steps above again.
*Uninstall will erase previously saved alarm settings. Please set them up again.
Alarm Does Not Sound
・Turn on the “Voicela En” notification permission.
・The alarm may not sound properly if the volume of the smartphone itself is set to 0 or manner mode, etc.
・If the alarm rings at the wrong time, tap the alarm setting on the home screen to override or reset it.
Alarms Never Stop
・If the test playback of the alarm does not stop, play it again with “Check & Save Settings” and tap stop.
・If a stored alarm sounds, tap the "OK" button on the alarm screen to stop the alarm.
If the alarm screen does not appear, please start the app and tap the stop button in the lower left corner of the home screen if it appears, or play it again in Check & Save Settings” and tap stop. If the alarm still does not stop, please turn off the power completely or uninstall the app to stop the alarm.
*After the update, saved alarm settings may not be displayed on the home screen while the alarm is ringing. In that case, use the method described above to stop the alarm.
Alarm Goes off During call
・Allow “Phone” permissions. (Settings > Apps > Voicela En > Permissions > Phone)
If a phone call is made while the alarm is sounding, the call status is detected by authority and the alarm is deactivated.
If the alarm is set during a call, tap “OK” on the alarm screen to stop the alarm.
Text Not Read out Loud
・If an audio file is selected, the entered text will only be displayed.
・When the alarm screen is not displayed with only alarm notification (the alarm screen is not displayed while other applications are running or operating), the text is not read out loud. Tap the alarm notification or launch the “Voicela En” app to display the alarm screen.
・For Galaxy and some other smartphones, voice data must be selected or installed for Google Voice Service in the text-to-speech settings. (Galaxy A13 case Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack > Settings > Text-to-speech > Preferred engine > Install voice data)
Change the Text-to-Speech Voice
・The text-to-speech (TTS) voice used for reading text aloud depends on your device’s built-in TTS engine. You can check or change it from your device settings.
Example :
Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack > Settings > Text-to-speech settings > Gear icon next to Preferred engine > Install voice data > English (United States)
*The steps may vary depending on your device model or OS version.
*Only one TTS voice can be selected at a time. It is not possible to set different voices for each alarm.
